In this post, I’ll be walking you through our automatic posting system, thanks to Integromat, Zapier & IFTTT. There have also been a few changes to our commenting and forum systems on the portal, a revamped subreddit, and so much more. Nicholas & I will also quickly talk about our native app, which has been a number of years in the making – we hope you enjoy!
ACoRCD Robotics is collaborating with numerous companies and organisations to create software with high-level machine learning capabilities. Here’s how we’re doing it!
Stellarios is a suite of software apps and games developed and distributed by ACORD Corporation. This software includes control units for our robots as well as extensions for applications such as firefox, chrome and visual studio. We release a number of games as well, and we’re working on a few right now: Star Sailors & Asteroid Dodgers. So here’s who’s a part of the Stellarios family, and what the current state of development is.

Originally published on the ACORD Portal & Dev.to, updated by Liam Arbuckle. Arguably the single most important piece of documentation for any open source project is the README. A good README not only informs people what the project does but also who is it for, how they can install and use it and how they can contribute to it.

Something that a few people that follow our news have complained about is the lack of a detailed mailing system. While subscribers to our blog get our latest posts in their inbox (thanks WordPress), there are some features missing from this primitive system. Because of this I’ve been searching around for plugins that work with WordPress for this purpose. And the answer that I’ve found is pretty popular – you may have heard of it. It’s Mailchimp.
Mailchimp Mailchimp is a marketing automation platform and an email marketing service. The platform is a trading name of its operator, Rocket Science Group, an American company founded in 2001 by Ben Chestnut and Mark Armstrong, with Dan Kurzius joining at a later date.
Star Sailors is a sci-fi adventure story/novella that I’m writing on behalf of ACORD. It’s loosely based off of the popular Star Wars movie series which revolutionized American pop culture throughout the 1970s and 80s and through to today (you may have heard of it).
The first story in the series is called Star Sailors: Earthlings and explores the journey of the only surviving group of humans in the near future as they are captured and fight against the supreme source of evil in the universe (yes, it’s a cliche. No, we don’t care).
ACORD Robotics is proud to present our next flagship product - an emulator case for iOS & Android. You will be able to play cool games and control other ACORD products using this case, both on the back of the phone and on the phone itself.

On the Stellarios repository, we have a branch called “Arduino” which is for all our Arduino & Raspberry Pi project (for example the Open Source Rover). We have created another repository to house the documentation. This is located at Github/Acord-Robotics/Arduino-Stellarios. The documentation is also located in the Arduino branch, however we created this site for easier documentation.
This repository is part of Github/Acord-Robotics/Stellarios. Stellarios is a suite of software developed by ACORD, an Australian Robotics & Science Development company. Stellarios includes a number of games, including Asteroid Dodgers. It also includes cool robots and hard/software designed for use in science experiments and missions.
